Deadline to apply for summer study abroad extended
The deadline to submit applications for summer study abroad in County Donegal, Ireland or Seville, Spain has been extended to Wednesday, March 12.
The three-credit Ireland program will run from May 24 to June 7. Participants will learn about health care and the cultures and history of Ireland. By blending both didactic and service learning, this program will provide students with valuable knowledge and experience to participate in a global community.
Open to juniors and seniors of all majors, the program fulfills a service learning requirement for nursing majors and can be used as a free elective for all other majors. The cost of the program is $4,100.
The six-credit Spain program will run from May 29 to June 22. Participants will discover Moorish palaces and Renaissance gardens, flowered patios, paintings, statues, flamenco dancing and music, bullfights at La Real de Caballeria, siesta, tortillas and the Spanish way of life.
Open to all students, the program fulfills major or minor requirements for Spanish, or free electives for all other majors. The language course can satisfy the foreign language core complement. The cost of the program is $6,150.
