Gallery to feature graphic design from “Logica” April 4-24
The Dorrance H. Hamilton Gallery has announced the opening of “Logica,” a graphic design installation featuring a collection of posters, identity studies and a site-specific mural. The campus community and the general public are invited to attend an opening reception and meet the artists from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 4 in the gallery.
Logica is the Providence-based design firm of Molly Regan and Bob Lukens. Over the last 13 years, their creative partnership has produced thoughtful, clear and engaging design solutions to serve the needs of their clients. Through their innovative collaboration, they aim to develop visual identities that make a difference.
A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Regan has more than 15 years of professional experience. With an eye toward colorful and cheerful graphics, she designs for a mix of local and international clients like Hasbro, Kiss 108 FM, Cleverhood and Swarovski. Regan lives and works in downtown Providence.
A graduate of Union College, Lukens has more than 25 years of professional experience. With a background in engineering, he creates well-thought-out design systems for both nonprofit and for-profit clients like Lifespan, Honeywell, Gripnail and Custom Computer Specialists. Lukens lives and works in Providence on historic Benefit Street.
Logica will be on display in the gallery through Wednesday, April 24. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
