SGA seeking candidates for senate, executive board positions
The Student Government Association is seeking candidates for 2013-2014 senate positions, as well as for the executive board position of public relations coordinator. Nomination packets are now available online, in the SGA office in Wakehurst (Room 205), or the Office of Student Activities in Wakehurst (Room 012).
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Salve Regina as of the time of the election.
- Must not be on probation, either academic or behavioral, as determined by University regulations.
- Must not hold more than one executive or legislative office within the student government at a time.
Nomination packets should be submitted to the Office of Student Activities by 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. A mandatory campaign meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in Wakehurst, Room 204. Active campaigning may not begin until after the meeting.
Elections will be held from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 through 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 via eBallot. All full-time undergraduates are eligible to vote.
SGA senators will be required to attend training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Regular SGA meetings are held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Oct. 2.
