Students encouraged to join Career Shadowing Initiative
The Office of Career Development is inviting all students to apply for one- or two-day job shadowing experiences with alumni and parent sponsors through the Career Shadowing Initiative.
The program is designed to help students learn about potential careers, make informed career decisions, and develop professional relationships that can open doors for internships and job opportunities.
Financial management major Kenny Craig ’14 says the program introduced him to the value of connecting with Salve Regina graduates to gain firsthand information about industries, companies and occupations.
“The one thing that I found most valuable was the opportunity to explore a potential career path that I wouldn’t have known anything about,” Craig says. “It allowed me to see different sides of theĀ finance field that I wouldn’t have been able to do without the program. This is one of the best experiences that I have encountered while at Salve Regina.”
Students who are interested in the Career Shadowing Initiative should apply through the Salve Regina Gateway by Friday, Nov. 15. For more information, contact Veronica Mansour, assistant director of career development, at veronica.mansour@salve.edu or (401) 341-2270.
