While the hours might now be back to normal, so is not ever being able to get in the fitness center. It was always a crowded place but the last two weeks have proven just how “too small” the fitness center really is. On two different occasions on two different days this week alone, I’ve gone to the gym to literally find no available cardio machines. People are actually waiting in line to use them now, there are far too many students working out for the facility anymore. Students only have so many hours in a day that they can work out between class and homework and other commitments, and Salve is making it difficult for resident students to do so. For what we pay to go here, an outside gym membership shouldn’t be something we have to pay for. The fitness center either needs to add more, and a lot more, treadmills/ellipticals or be open even later.
