Please, Dear Lord, we recognize that we are, all of us in this world, a people in need; now more than ever, Your Love and Mercy will sustain us through even the darkest hours.

Please, Dear Lord, we have faith that You will walk with us during this time of terrible difficulty.

Please, Dear Lord, we pray that You protect and deliver us from all trouble and distress, from affliction and illness.

Please, Dear Lord, help those who fall ill to heal quickly. For those who pass, let them go gently and peacefully and join You in Glorious Heaven where they will be free of their earthly burdens.

Please, Dear Lord, keep us in Your midst that we may grieve the unimaginable losses we are suffering worldwide.

Please, Dear Lord, help us remain humble and strengthen our faith in You that we remember You are our Protector and Redeemer.

Please, Dear Lord, give us the strength to uplift our hearts, to be the light, the love and the inspiration to motivate others to keep venturing forward.

Please, Dear Lord, illuminate our path that we may connect with our loved ones in many new remote ways – in ways that help us protect our humanity.

Please, Dear Lord, help us find the opportunities to do good within the difficult days we are facing; allow us to maintain a positive attitude and look for ways we can help, no matter how small or how large our contribution might be.

Please, Dear Lord, send us your blessings.

Together with all people on this magnificent globe, let us say, Amen.

Offered by Dr. Myra Ellen Edelstein, Associate Professor, Department of Business and Economics (April, 8, 2020)

Each Monday and Wednesday, SALVEtoday will provide a prayer of reflection for the University community to reflect upon during this time of remote living and learning. #salvesgotthis #wellnesswednesdays
