Birrell selected to 2012 Senior Bowl
Kaitlyn Birrell ’13 has been selected to participate in the 2012 New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior Bowl. This contest showcases the top seniors in the region, selecting 21 athletes from 82 different schools to compete. Birrell is the first player in program history to earn a selection.
The game will be played at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at Merrimack College.
Birrell earned her second consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference offensive player of the year award this season, leading the conference with 46 points, 21 goals, and four hat tricks. She finished her Salve Regina career as the program’s all-time leader in points (181), points per game (2.35), goals (74), goals per game (0.96), game-winning scores (14), assists (33) and assists per game (0.43).
