CAB sponsoring “The Love Notes Project”

UPDATE: CAB’s Spotlight Event presentation of “The Love Notes Project” has been postponed to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in the DiStefano Lecture Hall (Antone 128) due to weather conditions.

The Love Notes Project seeks stories or examples of romantic partnerships as part of its “Love is…” gallery. Expressions of caring, listening, support, kindness, forgiveness, equality, patience and joy are posted on a regular basis.

Wednesday’s program will feature singer/songwriter duo Peter Prince and Rhei C. performing love songs and sharing stories of love. “This celebration will take students on a journey from the beginning of romance to the healthy work of creating enduring partnership, calling on them to stand for love and accept no substitutes,” said Rhei C., a certified domestic violence counselor.

Some stories will be chosen from the students’ own submissions to the Love Notes Project website in advance.

In the days leading up to the event, there will tables set up in the Miley Hall lobby, offering students the opportunity to write a love note on a card. The notes will be gathered, formed together to create a poster and hung for people to see.
