Megan Clancy ’13 set the all-time program record for career digs during the Crabtree Invitational last Saturday and was also named the Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s volleyball libero (defensive specialist) of the week.

Last week, Clancy averaged 6.47 digs per set while compiling a .989 reception percentage against some of the top competition in the region. She recorded 123 digs during the five-match week, surpassing Amanda Harmon’s (2005-08) previous record of 1,749 digs, finishing the week with a total of 1,779 career digs.

Clancy compiled 19 digs versus Roger Williams University during her Senior Day match at the Rodgers Recreation Center. She then recorded 18 digs versus Connecticut College, ranked No. 2 in New England, before competing in three matches at the Crabtree Invitational, posting 38, 28 and 20 digs versus Elmira College, Plymouth State University and Eastern Connecticut State University, respectively.
