Community service opportunities: February

As the Spring 2020 semester gets into full swing, it may be time to consider getting in some volunteer hours. The Center for Community Engagement and Service has some opportunities this February to participate and give back to the greater community.

Saturday, Feb. 1: Clean Ocean Access Beach Cleanup

Volunteers are needed to clean up around Gull Cove Beach in Portsmouth from noon to 2 p.m. Van transportation is not provided.
Saturday, Feb. 1: Emmanuel Church Soup Kitchen
Volunteers are needed from 4:30-6:30 p.m. to set up, work and clean up the soup kitchen. Students may consult the trolley line.
Saturday, Feb. 8: GiftsToGive
Volunteers are needed to help sort donation items at GiftsToGive from 11-2 p.m. Bus transportation is provided.
Tuesday, February 11: St. Paul’s Warm up Wednesday
Volunteers are needed from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Mercy Center Kitchen to make sweet treats for St. Paul’s Church Warm-Up Wednesday program. All baking supplies will be provided. Transportation is not provided for this on-campus event.
