Dance minors presenting new works in choreography showcase
Salve Regina’s dance minors will present new works during the annual Student Choreography Showcase, directed by associate professor Lindsay Guarino.
Sixteen student artists have crafted their choreography to communicate themes and experiences that are deeply personal. Choreographers share their struggles and triumphs through their works, using their artistic voices to evoke courage, resilience, healing and empowerment. Each piece is the culminating project for students enrolled in DNC400: Choreography or DNC401: Student Choreography Showcase. All works are performed by the members of Extensions Dance Company and Extensions II.
With nearly 40 forty students involved in the production, this annual event highlights the talent and vibrancy of the dance program. Due to the large number of student choreographers, the four performances will be divided into two different programs.
