Educator Forum features recent graduates, experienced administrators

Recent education graduates and experienced administrators will share their experiences Thursday, April 12 during the Rhode Island Educator Forum, an annual collaborative event between Salve Regina and Roger Williams universities. The program will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Young Building.

The program will include panels of recent alumni and experienced administrators along with a networking reception for students, alumni, professionals and recruiters. The evening is designed to help students become better prepared for careers by hearing firsthand advice and insights.

Recent graduates include:

  • Kathleen Coccio ’14 (RWU), high school math teacher, Fall River Public Schools
  • Marissa Gagnon ’16, elementary special education teacher, Bristol Warren Regional School District
  • Jerry Haas ’17, high school math teacher, Middletown Public Schools
  • Michael McNamara ’15, social studies teacher, Saint Raphael Academy
  • Caroline Tedesco ’14 (RWU), graduate student in urban education policy, Brown University

Administrators and employers include:

  • Kimberly Behan, assistant superintendent, Newport Public Schools
  • James Keane, principal, St Joseph High School
  • Thomas Kenworthy, assistant superintendent, Portsmouth Public Schools
  • Danielle Medeiros, general manager, Bierman ABA Autism Center
  • Kristi Oliveira, human resource director, Atlantis Charter School
  • Diane Sanna, assistant superintendent, Briston Warren Regional School District
