The Environmental Club, in collaboration with the Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation, will present a one-time screening of “REUSE! Because You Can’t Recycle the Planet” and host a question-and-answer session with director Alex Eaves as part of the University’s Earth Week celebration.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall.

“REUSE! Because You Can’t Recycle the Planet” follows Eaves’ cross-country adventure through the 48 contiguous states. On his journey, he finds endless reuse solutions for our waste problem that are not only sustainable, but also easy and fun. Ultimately, he learns how reuse truly benefits “people, planet and wallet.”

The event aims to educate the community about ways to make a meaningful impact.

Eaves is a self-proclaimed “reuse pro” who operated the award-winning reuse apparel brand STAY VOCAL for 10 years. In April 2013, he launched a successful Kickstarter campaign for his “REUSE!” documentary project.
