NEW Leadership New England Program from SalveRegina on Vimeo.

Female students interested in learning how to be better, more effective leaders are invited to participate in the prestigious National Education for Women (NEW) leadership program this summer. Along with the Office of Student Affairs, the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy will sponsor up to three women to attend the program.

NEW Leadership New England is a leadership training program designed to educate and empower young women and give them the skills to be part of the next generation of women leaders. NEW Leadership New England will host its annual five-day summer program for undergraduate women June 7-12 at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, on the campus of Saint Anselm College.

The program will include workshops for students to actively develop leadership skills such as public speaking and networking, as well as presentations from politically active women throughout New England. Participants will also benefit from faculty-in-residence, a group of women public leaders who serve as mentors for students throughout their stay.

As part of its investment in leadership development, the Pell Center will cover the $650 cost to attend this program for up to three women from Salve Regina.

Students who are interested in applying should complete an application and submit it to Jennifer Jensen, assistant dean of students, by Monday, March 2. A panel will review applications and select up to three women to put forth to the main applicant pool by the March 13 deadline.

Click here for more information on the program. For questions regarding the application process, contact Jensen at jensenj@salve.edu or (401) 341-2209.
