Finalists for mission integration grants announced

Sister Leona Misto, vice president for mission integration, has announced the winning authors for the 2014-2015 mission integration grants, which called for papers on mercy and the Catholic intellectual tradition.
The selection committee for the $500 grant program has approved the following:
- Dr. Arlene Nicholas, assistant professor and graduate program director in the Department of Business Studies and Economics, for her abstract on “Mercy and Business: A Partnership for Catholic University Business Students.”
- Dr. Sean O’Callaghan, assistant professor in the Department of Religious and Theological Studies, and Sinan Zeino ’14 for their abstract on “The Role Which Mercy in the Catholic Intellectual Tradition Can Have in Building Interreligious Dialogue With Islam.”
- Dr. Joel Schmidt, assistant professor in the Department of Religious and Theological Studies, for his abstract on “The Mercy Vector: Contagious Transformation in Catholic Higher Education.”
The three diverse papers will be presented at a symposium to be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
