Students in the course Intro to Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies are working with the Office of Community Service to sponsor a food and clothing drive for Lucy’s Hearth.

Items needed include:

  • Winter clothing for teens and adults
  • Towels and sheets
  • Feminine products
  • Diapers and baby products
  • Travel mugs and snacks

Based in Middletown, Lucy’s Hearth is a nonprofit agency that provides emergency and transitional shelter for homeless women and children. Donated items will help to give families a fresh start by providing some essentials to get them on their feet.

Donation bins will be located in Miley Hall and the O’Hare Academic Center through Friday, Nov. 20. For more information, contact Dr. Anthony Mangieri at (401) 341-3226 or anthony.mangieri@salve.edu.
