Chrissy Fraga ’16 and Aubrey Palmquist ’16 both set school records in their respective events while competing in the New England women’s track and field NCAA Division III regionals, hosted by Colby College last weekend.

Fraga’s run in the 400-meter hurdles shaved nearly two seconds off her previous record (69.46 seconds at Bridgewater State, set on March 23) with her mark of 67.91 seconds. She was also part of the record-setting relay team whose mark was disqualified by an official’s ruling in the transfer zone.

Palmquist, running in the 10,000-meter race for the first time, finished with a 40:33.50 to eclipse Anissa Vieira’s record from six years earlier. Rebecca Longvall ’15 threw her javelin more than 106 feet to finish in the top 15 in the region.
