The Office of Human Resources has organized several wellness activities for faculty and staff for the fall 2016 semester, including Pilates and yoga.

Pilates

Instructor Remy Aull from Aull Pilates and Movement will lead a lunchtime Pilates class designed to recharge and energize you in the middle of your workday. The focus will be on core strengthening, postural alignment, lengthening tight muscles and toning the entire body. Each week, Aull will build upon the prior week to help improve balance, coordination and overall fitness.

Classes will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the Rodgers Recreation Center, Room 039 from Sept. 14 through Nov. 16. The cost is $90 for 10 classes, with a drop-in rate of $12 per session. Payroll deduction is available.

Yoga

Certified instructor Christine Reed will lead a hatha yoga class that focuses on breathing, stretching and strengthening to support physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and blanket (or large towel) to each class.

Classes will be held at 5 p.m. Mondays in the Ochre Court library through Dec. 19 (no class Sept. 26, Oct. 10 or Nov. 28). The cost is $120 for 12 classes, with a drop-in rate of $15 per session. Payroll deduction is available.
