Men’s ice hockey names two captains

Marc Biggs ’16 and Lucas Sousa ’16 have been named captains of the men’s ice hockey team for the 2015-2016 season.

Last season, Biggs tied John Scorcia ’15 for the team lead with 10 goals, while also dishing out 13 assists. Sousa appeared in 22 games for the Seahawks in 2014-2015 and notched four goals and six assists as one of the Seahawks’ top defenseman.

“I am very excited for these guys to lead our team,” said head coach Andy Boschetto. “I think their experience will help them lead this team as they both come from winning backgrounds. I am looking forward to the year as they have a great group of seniors as well that have been creating a good culture alongside them.”

Salve Regina (0-2) will take to the ice again at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4 when the Seahawks travel to face Suffolk University.
