The football team’s offensive line was named the offensive line of the week by D3football.com after the Seahawks set a new program record with 604 total yards of offense last week.

Starting on the offensive line for Salve Regina were Dakota Cowell ’14, John Gaffney ’15, Paul Hurley ’15, Justin Johnson ’14 and Sean Nagy ’17.

Salve Regina ran for 257 yards, 51 yards above their season average, while quarterback Steven Wilken ’15 threw for a career-best 347 yards. The Seahawks were able to control the clock for nearly 34 minutes against triple-option Maine Maritime Academy.

The Seahawks return to the field Saturday, Nov. 9 when the Coast Guard Academy visits Gaudet Field for a noon kickoff. Salve Regina will also honor its 11 seniors and host a military appreciation day.
