Salve Regina presents quarantine activities for students

As students begin arriving on campus to quarantine before the semester, and for students who will remain remote for the semester, departments across the Salve Regina campus are offering remote activities to help students transition until orientation begins next week.

Links to the various activities are being sent daily in an email update called The Quarantine Times. Students can check their school email to ensure that they are receiving The Quarantine Times daily activities.


A few examples of the activities are listed below:

Daily Check In
7:00 p.m.
Every evening this week; last one is Monday, Aug 31.

Every evening at 7:00 p.m., a staff or faculty member from Salve Regina will be on Zoom to say hi and answer any questions a student might have as they being to adjust to Salve Regina.

Daily Meditation with Dr. Martesian
8 p.m.
Every evening this week except Friday, Aug 28; last one is Tuesday, Sep 1.

Salve Regina’s very own Dr. Paula Martesian is offering a time of meditation on Zoom to help quiet the mind in the evening.

Other Activities: Yoga classes, virtual bingo and more

There are multiple other activities happening, including yoga classes, study abroad informational sessions, virtual bingo and other events. Please check the email updates for accurate daily information and links to the online activities.

      Meet with a member of Admissions Office to hear about Salve Regina's mission, campus life and academics directly from an admissions counselor in a group setting. It's a great introduction to Salve Regina and all the opportunities that exist for you here. 

      A virtual information session is designed for those who are in the college search and application process. If you would like to learn more about Salve Regina University and have your questions answered in a live chat, this is the best place to start. Our sessions last approximately one hour.

      You will also be able to view our virtual tour as part of your registration for this presentation. 

      Preregistration is required.

    • Reunion Weekend
      Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 5

      Reunion Weekend will be packed with exciting events both on and off campus. It's been too long since we've been able to welcome you to campus for a reunion celebration, so these events are sure to be worth the trip back to Newport. Return to campus and reconnect with your classmates - all alumni are welcome to attend.

      Hear from University leaders the state of student life and where Salve Regina is headed. Whether you’ve recently graduated or you’re returning after a hiatus, campus has updates!
      This event will be live on campus and live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. Please register to receive the Zoom link for the live stream.
