Salve Regina hosting two flu clinics this month

Although flu season peaks in winter, people are urged to have flu shots as soon as the vaccine becomes available. To that end, Health Services and the Wellness Company will sponsor two flu clinics at Salve Regina this month. Both are open to the University community as well as the general public.

Seasonal flu clinics will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 and Tuesday, Oct. 17 in the Miley Hall executive dining room.

There is no charge for those with the following insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare Part B, UnitedHealthcare, Neighborhood Health, Tufts or Tufts/Carelink. For those with a difference insurance provider and the uninsured, the cost is $25.

To register for the flu clinic, visit www.thewellcomp.com. Under “Register Now,” choose “Flu – College/University” and use the login name “salve.” Individuals must be 18 or older and must bring their insurance card to the clinic.
