Salve Regina ranked among nation’s best in U.S. News survey

Salve Regina’s ranking among the best institutions of higher education in the United States climbed four spots from the previous year in an annual survey conducted by U.S. News & World Report.

In the 2017 edition of U.S. News’ Best College rankings, Salve Regina is ranked 32nd among top tier Regional Universities – North, which includes colleges and universities in New England, New York and the Mid-Atlantic states. Additionally, the University’s graduate program in rehabilitation counseling was ranked 69th nationally.

According to the magazine’s methodology, regional universities offer a broad scope of undergraduate degrees and some master’s degree programs. Salve Regina also offers a Ph.D. in the humanities and the Doctor of Nursing Practice.

U.S. News annually rates more than 1,400 colleges and universities on up to 15 indicators of academic excellence, including selectivity, peer assessment, retention rate, financial resources, class size, student-faculty ratio, proportion of full-time faculty and alumni giving.
