Salve Regina’s college teams will host summer sports clinics for teenagers

Many of Salve Regina’s sports teams are hosting a variety of clinics and camps this summer in July and August for teenagers. These camps are to help students who are interested in pursuing college-level sports evaluate and improve their current skills, learn about college sports and prepare for the college-level arena.

Women’s Lacrosse Elite Clinic
Friday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Women’s Lacrosse Elite Clinic will be hosted by the Salve Regina women’s lacrosse coaches and current players. This one-day lacrosse clinic is designed for high school players who intend to compete at the college level. The clinic objective is to allow players an opportunity to improve their lacrosse fundamentals and knowledge of the game while learning about Salve Regina and the women’s lacrosse program.

Women’s Soccer ID Clinic
Friday, July 30 from 3-7 p.m.

Salve Regina’s women’s soccer will host a one-day clinic for high school females who wish to pursue a future in NCAA Division III collegiate soccer. Players will learn new skills and tactics geared towards advancing their game and experience a taste of what training is like at the college level. Participants will have a Q&A session with current rostered players. A certified athletic trainer will be on-site at all times for the safety of the attendees.

Baseball Prospect Clinic
Tuesday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday, August 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Seahawk baseball is offering several prospect clinics for position players, pitchers or both on August 3 or August 17. These multi-session clinics include a pro-style workout, drills, batting practice, arm maintenance and routines for pitchers, campus tours, instruction, collegiate evaluations and more.

Basketball Elite Camp
Friday, August 6 from 1-4 p.m.

The Salve Regina Men’s Basketball Elite Camp objective is to give athletes who have completed grades eight through twelfth an opportunity to learn more about Salve Regina and engage in the proper fundamentals of the game of basketball. Players will be given opportunities to improve with personal instruction from an enthusiastic college staff.

Men’s Lacrosse Clinic
Tuesday, August 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Salve Regina Summer Men’s Lacrosse Camp will be hosted by the Seahawk coaching staff and current student-athletes. Participants will enjoy visiting Salve Regina’s oceanfront campus and getting after it on the lacrosse field. This 1-day camp is designed for high school players who wish to compete at the next level. Campers will get a realistic experience of what it is like to compete as an intercollegiate men’s lacrosse student-athlete.

      A virtual information session is designed for those who are in the college search and application process. If you would like to learn more about Salve Regina University and have your questions answered in a live chat, this is the best place to start. Our sessions last approximately one hour.

      You will also be able to view our virtual tour as part of your registration for this presentation.

    • Reunion Weekend
      Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 5

      Reunion Weekend will be packed with exciting events both on and off campus. It's been too long since we've been able to welcome you to campus for a reunion celebration, so these events are sure to be worth the trip back to Newport. Return to campus and reconnect with your classmates - all alumni are welcome to attend.
