Salve Regina’s film production club Salve Studios will premiere its newest short films, “Triangulum” and “Winter,” during its film festival at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30 in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall.

“It is a film noir, so it’s very much marked by that iconic style of the 1950s,” says club president Lily Margaret Jones ’17 of “Triangulum.” Jones co-directed and co-wrote the film with fellow senior Stephanie Menders. “It’s about a young woman who is suspected of murdering her husband,” Jones added. Audiences can expect everything film noir: mystery, detectives and a femme fatale.

Written and directed by Kevin Onofreo ’17, “Winter” is a drama about two friends who contemplate the divide that has grown between them. Other films to be shown include previously premiered horror film “The Final Cut,” directed by Jones and Ryan Colwell ’17, and thriller “Second Chance Waltz,” directed by Colwell.

“I am very proud of all of them,” Jones said of the four short films Salve Studios has produced since its founding in spring 2015. “It’s really exciting to see this showcase of student work.”

Other involved students include Marrissa Ballard ’17, Colin Burke ’17, Mariana Bracciale ’16, Lea Carpanzano ’18, Ming Fen Congdon ’18, Noah Denzer ’18, Jack Farrell ’18, Nathaniel Flachs ’18, Laura Jedynasty ’17, Matthew Levine ’17, Carlisle Lynch ’20, Henry Nickerson ’20, Kyla Russell ’18, Bryce Sholtes ’20, Sofia Talbot ’17 and Dean Wollenberg ’17.
