Associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator Kelly Scafariello has been appointed to the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s track and field committee. Her term of service will begin Sept. 1, 2013, and continue through Sept. 1, 2017.

“I am deeply honored that the NCAA has appointed me to represent the New England region for the NCAA DIII track and field committee,” Scafariello said. “I look forward to using my administrative experience that I have gained throughout my athletic career to help in any way I can in my role as a committee member.”

In her first year with the Seahawks, Scafariello has worked with the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and empowered that group with the administration of the department’s annual sportsmanship award. She also represents the University with the Rhode Island Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women while serving on Salve Regina’s Athletic Hall of Fame committee.
