Salve Regina’s theater program will present Rick Elise’s award-winning play “Peter and the Starcatcher” in the Casino Theatre Nov. 14-17. Directed by Tom Gleadow, performances will be given at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with 2 p.m. matinees Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors and military and $8 for Salve Regina students, faculty and staff. Tickets are available online or by calling the box office at (401) 341-2250.

Based on the 2004 novel “Peter and the Starcatchers” by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell and Hook, and serves as a prequel to J.M. Barrie’s “Peter and Wendy.”

“The play is a story of adventure, friendship, blossoming love, discovery and, most of all, it is a celebration of imagination,” Gleadow writes in his director’s note. “The theater is an inherently imaginative place and it is my hope that audience members of any age will involuntarily give themselves over to a world where the sky’s the limit.”

The cast includes Zach Bailey ’20, Topher Bashant ’23, Jillian Brooks-Duval ’20, Abbie Burchard ’21, Julia Curtin ’20, Ashleigh DeAmicis ’23, Brendan Ferraro ’23, Tommy Froessel ’23, Liam Fryer ’23, Mike Gillis ’22, Nellie Horvath ’23, Winder Landaverde ’23, Daniel Landino ’20, Skyler Lasit ’22, Mary Melo-Severino ’23, Nathan Nelson ’23, Claire Noonan ’22 and Bradley Simpson ’20.

Madisen Cardona ’23, Maggie Corbutt ’21, Grace Farrow ’23, Keira Flaherty ’23, Sara McCormick ’23, Sarah Menard ’22, Catherine Murray ’23, Lia O’Connor ’23 and Kasia Osiecka Kaszuba ’23 are members of the ensemble, while the artistic and production staff includes Carlie Rodrigues Baptista ’23, Brooks-Duval, Christina Cannilla ’22, Jonah King ’23 and Landino.
