The final three candidates for the position of provost/vice president for academic affairs are scheduled to visit campus this month. The name and CV of each finalist will be released via email two days prior to his/her arrival on campus.

Members of the Salve Regina community are invited to meet with each of the candidates as noted below:

  • Candidate 1: Monday, March 17
  • Candidate 2: Thursday, March 20
  • Candidate 3: Tuesday, March 25

Note: The following times apply to each of the candidate visits.

9:30-10:20 a.m.
Faculty Meeting – Bazarsky Lecture Hall
The first of two opportunities for full-time faculty members to meet exclusively with the candidate. The focus in this session is on academics, and the issues, questions and concerns that faculty members may have. After an introduction and a few brief remarks from the candidate, faculty will have the opportunity to ask questions.

11:45 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.
Lunch with SGA and Students – Miley Private Dining Room
For Salve Regina students only. Space is limited. If you are interested in participating, please contact Teresa Haas at teresa.haas@salve.edu. This is an opportunity for the candidate to hear from students, learn more about their interests and priorities, and share some thoughts about the academic future of the University.

3-3:50 p.m.
Faculty Meeting – Bazarsky Lecture Hall
The second of two opportunities for full-time faculty members to meet exclusively with the candidate. The focus in this session is on academics, and the issues, questions and concerns that faculty members may have. After an introduction and a few brief remarks from the candidate, faculty will have the opportunity to ask questions.

4-5 p.m.
Campus Presentation – Bazarsky Lecture Hall
Open to the entire campus community: full-time as well as adjunct faculty, students, staff, administrators, alumni, etc. The presentation is designed to allow the campus community to see how well the candidate is able to present in a public forum, and learn more about each candidate’s vision for Salve Regina. The event will be followed by a reception in Jazzman Cafe.

Everyone that attends one of these sessions will be asked to complete an online survey, the results of which will be tabulated and shared with Sister Jane prior to her deliberations.
