Congratulations to baseball players Riley Fusaro ’19 and Will Ginsberg ’19, who recently received honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Fusaro was named player of the week after collecting four hits in a doubleheader sweep of conference foe Roger Williams University, including a run-scoring walkoff single in the opener. Earlier in the week, he notched two hits in a 7-4 victory over Framingham State University. In three games for the No. 26-ranked Seahawks, Fusaro batted .667 (6-for-9) and posted a weekly on-base percentage of .727.

Ginsberg was named pitcher of the week after tossing five shutout innings against Eastern Connecticut State University, allowing just two hits, striking out eight and walking two. He exited the contest with a 4-0 lead after five innings before eventually settling for a no decision in a 9-5 setback.

Defending conference champion Salve Regina (13-3, 4-0 CCC) remains at No. 2 in the region with the release of the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association poll.
