Walther, Ciliberti named to all-conference team

Kasey Walther ’16 and Gina Ciliberti ’17 have been named to the 2013 Commonwealth Coast Conference all-conference women’s tennis team.

Walther returns to the all-conference team for the second year. Holding the top singles position on the Seahawks for the second straight year, she defeated two conference opponents in back-to-back matches with identical 6-0, 6-0 scores. Pairing with Emma Gruber ’17, Walther also posted a 4-1 mark in dual match doubles play.

Ciliberti earned the recognition in her first year in the league. A high school badminton champion at St. John the Baptist in New York, she posted singles wins in dual matches at Eastern Nazarene College and Wentworth Institute of Technology, the latter clinching a playoff spot for the Seahawks. She has paired with Gruber and Hayley Maxwell ’15 in doubles.
