Wine Tasting and Auction to benefit student scholarships

Salve Regina will host its fifth Wine Tasting and Auction to support academic scholarships on Thursday, May 2. Held in Ochre Court, the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the silent auction and wine tasting, followed by a live auction at 7 p.m.

The wine tasting will feature passed hors d’oeuvres and selections from Canopy Management/Wine Sisterhood, Constellation Wines, Greenvale Vineyards, Cynthia Hurley French Wines, Johnson Brothers of R.I., J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines, Moet Hennessy USA, Newport Storm Brewery, Newport Vineyards, Rhode Island Distributing, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Treasury Wine Estates, M.S. Walker and Wine Wizards.

Exclusive wines for auction include a Penfolds Grange shiraz valued at $1,200, a Beringer Single Vineyard horizontal set valued at $500, a Penfolds St. Henri shiraz valued at $200, a Penfolds RWT shiraz valued at $200 and a Chateau St. Jean cabernet sauvignon valued at $200. Additional auction items include a private party for 20 in Ochre Court and a weekend in Watch Hill, along with dinner and theater, vacation packages, sports outings, artwork and more.
