Women’s basketball coach Cori Hughes, now in her ninth year with the Seahawks, has announced a trio of captains for the 2015-2016 season: Madelyn Brackett ’16, Meaghan Harden ’16 and Jillian Woodward ’17.

“Meg, Maddy and Jillian were the players’ and coaches’ unanimous choices to represent this year’s team as captains,” Hughes said. “Each leads in her own distinct way, and their strength as leaders lies in those differences. I look forward to seeing where they lead us this winter.”

Brackett, Harden and Woodward each played in all 26 games last season. Harden enters her final season just 60 points shy of the school’s all-time scoring mark (Alyssa Ricci ’99 finished with 1,578 points in her career).

The Seahawks (12-14 in 2014-2015) open their new campaign Nov. 14 against Emmanuel College during the school’s 32nd annual EC Invitational.
