Women’s soccer players earn conference honors

Two members of the women’s soccer team – Abby McMackin ’19 and Jamie Robert ’21 – recently received weekly honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

McMackin was named offensive player of the week after scoring a hat trick in the Seahawks’ 5-3 conference win over Western New England University Sept. 29. Her three tallies a came on eight shots, seven of which were put on target. One of McMackin’s goals was a converted penalty kick.

Robert was named rookie of the week after scoring two goals in Salve Regina’s 5-3 conference victory over Western New England. Both goals came in the second half, with the first becoming the eventual game winner.

The Seahawks (4-4-0, 2-1-0 CCC) host Keene State College at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
