Billings, Wojtala named AHCA all-Americans

Forward Jack Billings ’20 and goaltender Blake Wojtala ’19 were named to the American Hockey Coaches Association’s Division II-III all-America team during the Frozen Four’s pre-tournament banquet.

Billings, who broke the Seahawks’ single-season marks for points and assists, was named to the second team after posting 19 goals and 26 assists for 45 total points thus far. He is one goal shy of tying the program’s single season mark for goals in a season.

Wojtala, the Seahawks’ all-time leader in wins (45) and shutouts (8), was named to the first-team. He has posted a 19-5-2 record in net this season, making 735 saves with a .933 save percentage.

Salve Regina (21-5-2) faces the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (21-5-3) in the first game of the Division III semifinals at 3 p.m. Friday, March 23, from inside Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New York.
