Madrigals hosting annual Cabaret Dinner

The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will hold the annual Madrigals Cabaret Dinner at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 in the Ochre Court state dining room. Dinner will be prepared by Sodexo and served by members of the Madrigals chorus, who will also perform selections from popular and musical theater repertoire.

Admission is $35 for general and $18 for students on the meal plan and children under 12. Proceeds from the event benefit the Madrigals and University Chorus concert tour fund, which helps to defray the cost of travel to performances in the United States and abroad. Recent trips have included Greece, Italy and Ireland.

Guests may choose from one of three entrees: Baked stuffed sole with lobster sauce, marinated grilled chicken with sundried tomatoes and caramelized onion cream sauce or vegetarian portabella napoleon. All dinners are served with crispy romaine salad, sauteed green beans, rosemary red bliss potatoes, apple blossom dessert, coffee and tea.
