Spring Concert featuring music duo Timeflies, tickets on sale Tuesday
The 2013 Spring Concert, sponsored by the Campus Activities Board’s concert committee and the Office of Student Activities, will feature the music duo Timeflies with opening act The Jane Doze. Tickets for the April 17 concert will go on sale at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 in Wakehurst.
Consisting of 22-year-olds Cal (vocalist) and Rez (producer), Timeflies formed in October 2010. Using elements of pop, hip-hop, electro, dub step and rock, Timeflies aims to escape genre limitations and create music that everyone can relate to. In September 2011, Timeflies released their debut album, “The Scotch Tape,” which reached No. 8 on the iTunes top 10 chart and No. 2 on the iTunes top 10 pop chart.
The concert will be held Wednesday, April 17 in the Rodgers Recreation Center. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., with The Jane Doze scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. and Timeflies set to take the stage at 9 p.m.
Tickets will be available from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19 in the Wakehurst lobby. Full-time undergraduates with a valid student ID may purchase one ticket at the $10 price and unlimited guest tickets for $15 each.
Sales will continue during regular Wakehurst hours in the Office of Student Activities, located in Wakehurst, Room 012. Beginning Tuesday, April 2, Salve Regina faculty, staff, graduate students, part-time undergraduates and guests may purchase tickets for $15 each. Tickets can be purchased using cash or a check made out to Salve Regina University.
