IT announces formation of new Technology Services Center
The Technology Service Center
In an ongoing effort to improve and strengthen IT services, technical support and community partnerships, the Office of Information Technology is continuing to streamline its services in order to provide the best possible experience for the Salve Regina community.
With that in mind, the Office of Information Technology are merging two IT teams in order to help students, staff, and faculty. User Support Services team and Technical Services/Help Desk team will be merged into a new team called the Technology Services Center (TSC).
The TSC will create the ability to expand service hours, eliminate gaps in technical expertise as well enable the creation of new services and more cohesive support models. Technology services and support can now be requested at TSC@salve.edu.
Student Technology Services
Students are reminded that Student Technology Services supports all students enrolled at Salve Regina through the Student Technology Services Center located in the McKillop Library, Room 008. The level of support varies based on whether the student participates in the recommended laptop program.
The center provides comprehensive hardware and software repair services to students enrolled in the recommended laptop program. Students who do not participate in the recommended laptop program may bring their computer to the center for support, which is limited to diagnostics and knowledge-based support with guidance to correct the issue.
The center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
