Sullivan Fitness Center adds Life Fitness equipment
After a months-long selection process, the Sullivan Fitness Center has decided to replace its Nautilus circuit, benches and pin-loaded pulley equipment with Life Fitness equipment.
“It is an exciting time to replace the aging original equipment and update it to a fresh, clean look,” said Tom Blaney, fitness center manager. “Many pieces that were chosen have more function than their predecessor, and in some situations we added more stations that are commonly a bottleneck during busy times.”
The Nautilus machines will be removed beginning around 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, while the Life Fitness machines will be installed beginning around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2. University logos will be added to the equipment on Wednesday.
The fitness center will make an effort to remain open during the entire process. Cardio equipment and the free weights should be fully available. Students, faculty and staff may need to enter through the back door at times, and some equipment will be unavailable from Monday afternoonthrough Tuesday evening.
