Community service opportunities: September

If a student is looking to jumpstart their required service hours this semester, the Center for Community Engagement and Service has just a few opportunities listed in September as the 2020-21 academic year begins. The center is looking hard to locate volunteering where social distancing and coronavirus guidelines are being practiced.

Saturday, September 12: Fort Adams general fort maintenance
Volunteers are needed from 10am-noon at Fort Adams to help with general maintenance. Transportation is not provided.
Fall internship opportunities at Clean Ocean Access
Clean Ocean Access has made available fall internships on their website. All internships are 10 hours a week and positions that can be adapted to in-person or virtual as needed.

Daily garden maintenance at Bike Newport
Bike Newport is looking for volunteers to assist with daily garden watering at the Bike Barn.
