Attend McGinty panel featuring presidential historian Robert Dallek
The Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy will hold a John E. McGinty history series event at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, on the Pell Center’s Facebook page. The event is entitled “How Did We Get Here? A Conversation with Presidential Historian Robert Dallek.”
Robert Dallek, a New York Times best-selling author and Bancroft Prize-winning historian, will engage in a discussion about U.S. presidential politics past and present. Author of more than 15 books, Dallek is the leading academic historian of the American presidency.
Dallek has written widely on the U.S. presidency and published biographies of Lyndon Johnson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and JFK. His latest book was published in May 2020, entitled “How Did We Get Here? From Theodore Roosevelt to Donald Trump.”
Dallek will be joined by Dr. Jim Ludes, executive director of the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy, and Dr. William Leeman, associate professor in the Department of History and director of the Pell Honors Program.
