Students to present summer research Aug. 2
Salve Regina students will join with college and university students from across the state to showcase their summer research findings Friday, Aug. 2 at the University of Rhode Island’s Kingston campus.
The sixth annual Rhode Island Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows Conference is co-sponsored by Rhode Island IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence and the Rhode Island NSF Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research.
The event provides undergraduates a unique opportunity to present their summer research findings to a group of their peers as well as demonstrate how federal funds are utilized in a collaborative effort to support research and student training in scientific areas critical to the state’s future.
More than 300 students, faculty and administrators are expected to attend the conference, which will display more than 100 posters presented by students in the biomedical, behavioral and life sciences.
