Mercy Mondays: Call for nominations for Living the Mission Awards
To celebrate Salve Regina community members who advance the University’s Mercy, Catholic mission in exemplary ways, the Office of Mission Integration will once again be asking for nominations for the Living the Mission Awards.
The Living the Mission Awards recognize Salve Regina’s faculty, staff, students and community partners who advance the University’s mission through their actions and example. These individuals demonstrate exemplary action to live the mission of Salve Regina University, seeking wisdom and promoting universal justice.
Up to one faculty member, one staff member, one undergraduate student, one graduate student and one community partner will be selected annually. Awards will be announced and bestowed at University Convocation in September 2023.
Salve Regina’s Living the Mission Awards was inaugurated last year. The 2022 recipients of the Living the Mission Award (pictured above) were Dr. Sean O’Callaghan, associate professor of religious and theological studies and graduate program director of the humanities program; Michael Chester, superintendent of grounds; Claire Siegler ’24, a double major in administration of justice major and studio art; Contessa Brown, who is getting her master’s in holistic clinical mental health counseling and the expressive arts certificate program; and Michele Banks, director of Learning Unlimited.
