Business students invited to intern in Australia
Business students who are interested in completing a professional internship abroad are invited to learn more about a short-term summer program in Australia.
Information sessions will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 12:15 p.m. (O’Hare Academic Center, Room 107) and 2 p.m. (Gatehouse). The program will run from May 28 to July 27, 2014 and the deadline to apply is Feb. 15, 2014.
Offered through The Education Abroad Network, this eight-week internship program will give students practical work experience in a business or government agency in western Australia. Sample placements include the Subiaco Lions Football Club, Western Australian Water Polo Incorporated and Touch Football Associations.
The program fulfills an internship requirement for students majoring or minoring in financial management, marketing and sports management. It fulfills a general business elective for other business majors and minors and serves as a free elective for all other majors.
The program fee is $3,900, which includes 3-6 credits of Salve Regina tuition, ground transportation in Australia, a three-day orientation program, three cultural events and international travel insurance. The fee does not include accommodations, airfare, personal expenses and passport/visa fees.
A $1,200 deposit is due March 7, 2014, with the final payment due May 2, 2014.
