Kehew invited to Super Regional Combine
Former offensive line standout and current Salve Regina football coach Daniel Kehew ’13 is one step closer to achieving his lifelong dream – to play in the National Football League.
Kehew has been invited to participate in the Super Regional Combine April 12 in Detroit, Mich. After an impressive showing at the CDFL Europe vs. America game last December, he entertained several offers to play arena football or overseas before being invited to a regional combine at the New York Jets’ indoor training facility a few weeks ago.
After intense training with Sam Dadd at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, Kehew has returned home and is currently training with Salve Regina strength and conditioning coaches Tom Blaney and Marcus Calhoun.
“The workouts are intense, but I have learned to love every second of it,” Kehew said. “I have an entirely new level of motivation now that [playing in the NFL is] so close and within my grasp.”
During his tenure at Salve Regina, Kehew was a key part of the offensive line. In 2012, he was named to the New England Football Conference all-Boyd Division first team.
