Women’s volleyball wins ECAC championship
After reaching a final for the second consecutive Saturday, the women’s volleyball team produced a championship with a 3-0 victory over fourth-seeded Endicott College in the title match of the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference New England championship.
This marks the first championship, and first final, for the Seahawks in four straight trips to the ECAC tournament.
Salve Regina (23-10) swept three matches in nine sets for the week. The second-seeded Seahawks defeated seventh-seeded Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Wednesday before traveling to Springfield, Mass., for the semifinal and final matches.
The Seahawks had knocked off third-seeded Worcester State University 3-0 in their semifinal match.
