Iskra, Terio earn All-New England honors
Offensive tackle Adam Iskra ’13 and corner Phil Terio ’15 have been named to the 2012 Division II-III All-New England Team by the New England Football Writers.
The team consists of just 28 players from 18 different schools. With two players chosen, the Seahawks tied with Framingham State University for the most selections among New England Football Conference (NEFC) schools.
Iskra was named the NEFC Boyd Division offensive lineman of the year while earning All-Boyd Division first team honors. He anchored an offensive line that helped the Seahawks run for more than 100 yards in every game except for their season-opener. The team topped 150 yards on the ground in seven of their 10 games while eclipsing the 200-yard mark four times.
Terio was named the NEFC Boyd Division defensive player and return specialist of the year while also earning All-Boyd Division first team honors. He tied the NCAA Division III records for interceptions returned for touchdowns (4) and total touchdown returns (6) in a single season. His seven interceptions on the year rank second all-time at Salve Regina.
The team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Thursday, Dec. 6.
