Men’s, women’s lacrosse players earn all-conference honors

Two members of the men’s lacrosse team and five members of the women’s lacrosse team recently received all-conference honors from the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Kaitlin Gillespie ’17 was named to the second team. She netted 35 goals this season, scoring a hat trick or better six different times, while surpassing 100 goals in her career as a Seahawk. Gillespie ranks ninth all-time in Seahawks program history with 103 career goals.
Katie Kline ’18 was named to the third team. She was second on the Seahawks for goals scored, netting 38 to go with five assists. She won 89 draws during the regular season, tops in the conference.
Nick LoCicero ’17 was named to the second team. He scored 28 goals and registered 38 assists this season, and his 65 total points ranked third in the conference. LoCicero finished his Seahawk career ranked ninth all-time for goals scored (89) and has the top career marks for assists (181) and total points (270). He also holds the single season records for points (80) and assists (63).
Mike Mongelli ’19 was named to the third team. He grabbed 65 ground balls, sixth most in the conference, and caused 30 turnovers, the second most in the conference. Mongelli also scored four times this season, the first goals of his collegiate career.
Bridget Newbury ’20 was named to the third team. She made 92 saves in her first season between the pipes for the Seahawks and started in every game.
Jacqueline Pilatti ’17 was named to the second team. She collected a team-high 36 ground balls this season and was third on the Seahawks with 20 draw control wins.
Maddie Villareal ’20 was named to the third team. She ranked third in the conference for goals scored (51) and dished out 15 assists, scoring a hat trick or better 10 separate times. Her 66 points are the sixth best single-season mark in program history.
