Student Employment Week recognizes valuable contributions
Salve Regina’s student employees provide a valuable service to the University. To recognize their contributions, the Office of Career Development will sponsor the third annual Student Employment Appreciation Week April 9-13.
All student employees and supervisors are invited to participate in the week’s activities, which are themed “Super Student Employees.”
Monday, April 9: Student Employment Appreciation Luncheon
Come enjoy lunch with fellow student employees and supervisors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Young Building ballroom. All students will be recognized and the student employee of the year will be announced.
Tuesday, April 10: Hulk Smash!
Your student employment has been a smashing success. Stop by the Wakehurst lawn between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to demonstrate your super strength and win candy and prizes. (Rain location: Wakehurst lobby.)
Wednesday, April 11: Creating a “Super” Resume
Learn how to show off your super skills in this workshop with peer career advisors, scheduled for 5 p.m. in Miley Hall, Room 012. Snacks will be provided.
Thursday, April 12: Hero’s Trivia
Is your superpower your knowledge of Marvel and DC classics? Grab a quiz and enter for a chance to win prizes from local businesses. Quizzes will be available from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Miley cafeteria and 1-2:30 p.m. in the O’Hare Academic Building lobby.
Friday, April 13: Flying Into the Weekend
Fly into the Office of Career Development between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to pick up your paycheck and some candy. Students with direct deposit are also welcome to stop by.
