Harvey, Sadler earn all-conference accolades
Lauren Harvey ’21 and Makenzie Sadler ’21 have been named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference’s all-conference team for women’s tennis in both singles and doubles.
Harvey plays in the top two spots on the team, No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles; Sadler joins her classmate at No. 1 doubles and handles opposing players at No. 2 singles. The dynamic duo has led Salve Regina (5-4, 4-3 CCC) to the No. 4 seed in the conference postseason.
Harvey has a 6-3 mark in singles play, with her only defeats against the top players from the top three schools. Sadler has posted a 5-4 overall mark against No. 2 opponents in singles, including a perfect 2-0 against non-league foes.
Harvey and Sadler have been doubles partners from the start, competing in the No. 1 spot in all dual matches. Overall, they are 8-4 in doubles action, including a 4-3 mark against conference foes.
Salve Regina, which has won the conference championship a record 13 times, hosts No. 5 seed Roger Williams University at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 in a CCC quarterfinal.
