Art travel scholarship recipients to discuss experiences
Elizabeth Miniet ’13 and Molly Richard ’13, whose study abroad was supported by the Gabriele Bleeke-Byrne Art Travel Scholarship, will discuss their recent travels to Italy and France at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27 in the DiStefano Lecture Hall. The presentation will be preceded by a reception at 4:15 p.m.
The art travel scholarship helps fund relevant travel for full-time Salve Regina students majoring in art history, interactive communication technology or studio art. Applicants may apply for up to $1,000 to support all or part of anticipated travel expenses.
The scholarship may be used for various projects, such as studying art and art history, painting landscapes, enrolling in workshops, or pursuing other projects that contribute to the student’s education and professional development. Travels may be in the United States or abroad. The trip can be undertaken any time before graduation or the summer immediately following graduation. Awardees are required to give a presentation on their experience in the spring semester following travel.
